DocuGenius is an AI-powered document compliance platform designed for healthcare providers and billing teams. It automatically reads clinical documents — such as physician notes, lab results, and prior-authorization letters — and checks whether they satisfy specific payer or regulatory criteria for DME, therapies, and other services.
DocuGenius currently supports PDF files up to 50 MB each. You can upload up to 10 documents at once for parallel processing. Support for scanned image PDFs (via OCR) is included automatically.
You can upload and process documents without signing in. However, to save results, manage templates, view your history in the Documents dashboard, or access Analytics, you will need a company account.
Click Upload in the navigation bar, drag and drop your PDF(s), select the compliance criteria that apply, and hit Analyze. Results are usually ready within 60 seconds. No configuration is required for first-time use.
Out of the box, DocuGenius includes criteria for CGM therapy (Type 1 & 2 Diabetes, long-term usage), CPAP / PAP devices, supplemental oxygen, compression wraps, alternating pressure mattresses, wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, transfer lifts, and patient demographics. Admins can also create fully custom criteria sets from the Admin Panel.
Analysis
Most documents are processed in 30–90 seconds. Larger or scanned PDFs may take up to 2–3 minutes. You can navigate away and return to the Documents dashboard — results appear automatically once processing is complete.
Met means every required criterion was found and satisfied. Not Met means one or more required criteria were absent or explicitly contradicted by the document. Partial means some criteria were met while others were not — the result card will show exactly which criteria passed or failed.
DocuGenius uses large-language-model extraction tuned on healthcare documents. Accuracy depends on document quality and clarity. Always treat results as a decision-support tool — a qualified clinical or billing professional should review flagged documents before taking action.
Yes. Open any document in the Documents dashboard, click Re-analyze, and choose a different criteria set or template. Previous results are preserved so you can compare outcomes.
Yes. From the Documents dashboard you can download a processed PDF with relevant sections highlighted. A CSV export of all results is available from the Analytics page for bulk reporting.
DocuGenius runs OCR automatically on image-based PDFs. Very low-resolution scans (below ~150 DPI) or handwritten notes may reduce extraction accuracy. If a document cannot be read reliably, you will see a quality warning alongside the result.
Templates & Workflow
Templates let you save a named combination of criteria so you can apply it to future document batches in one click. For example, you might create a 'CPAP Initial Auth' template that includes all the criteria your payer requires for that workflow.
Yes. Templates created by any member of your organization are visible to all other members. Admins can also lock templates to prevent accidental edits.
Yes. The Upload page accepts up to 10 PDFs at once. Each document is analyzed in parallel, and all results appear in your Documents dashboard as they complete.
Security & Privacy
DocuGenius is built with HIPAA-aware infrastructure. All documents are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Files are processed in isolated environments and are never used for AI model training. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available for enterprise customers.
Processed documents and their results are retained for 90 days by default. You can delete any document at any time from the Documents dashboard. Enterprise plans can configure custom retention policies.
Documents are scoped to your organization. Only members of your company account can view results. DocuGenius staff do not access document content except when you explicitly open a support ticket and grant temporary access.
Account & Billing
Admins can manage team members from the Admin Panel. Navigate to Dashboard → Admin Panel → Users to invite new members by email or deactivate existing accounts.
First check that the PDF is not password-protected and is at least 72 DPI. If the problem persists, use the feedback button on the result card to flag it, or email support@geniusinsights.ai with the document name and a description of the issue.
